What’s New in AppViewX 12.3

As networks become more and more complex, enterprises are relying on greater levels of visibility, automation and collaboration across daily workflows. Given this new level of demand, we are excited to announce the latest release of the AppViewX platform, AVX 12.3, which was designed to give way to faster service delivery, stronger compliance, minimized opportunity for error, and lowered operational expenses.

AVX 12.3 offers multiple feature enhancements across its platform. This newest version of AppViewX was specifically developed for application owners, network engineers and security engineers striving to build agile infrastructure that opens doors to digital transformation.

Greater Productivity through Automation Workflows

Automation efforts are likely to fail when applied to complex networks that lack holistic workflows and standards. To truly reap the benefits of effective automation, organizations must completely rethink their current approaches to service management to support better, business-driven outcomes. With the latest release, AppViewX standardizes and simplifies the change implementation process, ensuring the efficient delivery of services. As a result, network and application teams can operate with more agility, improve productivity and reduce cost by allowing the repeated use of existing workflows. And, the new rollback feature is simple and flexible in the event of a partial or failed task status.

Application Dependency Mapping and Faster Troubleshooting

AppVision provides end-users a new and compelling view of their infrastructure, allowing them to make more informed and strategic decisions. The new release introduces multiple features enhancements providing always-on, up-to-date application dependency mapping and faster troubleshooting. The real-time application-centric alerts and logs eliminate risks at every service level. The troubleshooting utility allows users to configure and execute custom commands and scripts to identify and remediate any network and application service issues or outages.

Better Insight into Multi-Vendor ADC Infrastructures

Gathering and analysing data helps organizations make intelligent decisions about their ADC infrastructure. With the latest release, AppViewX’s Application Delivery Automation solution provides advanced insights into your multi-vendor ADC environment. Near real-time configuration updates provide improved data reliability, and the automation workflows simplify and speed ADC service delivery. You can now seamlessly upgrade Citrix Netscaler SLB and GSLB devices to their latest versions with little to no downtime. And, automating your F5 iHealth report generation keeps your infrastructure updated and shielded from vulnerabilities.

Secured SSL Certificate Management and Automation

Enterprises must maintain complete control over their digital certificates. The new AppViewX release provides certificate security enhancement through cutting-edge private key and key store management methodologies. The platform has extended support for new certificate authorities, certificate types and on new device versions (AWS CA, EJBCA, Comodo CCM, SMIME) to enforce single pane-of-glass management. It also allows users to create their own Internal Certificate Authorities to avoid depending on external authorities for authorizing and encrypting communications within their enterprises. And, the enhancement to the certificate discovery process allows users to execute multiple discoveries on multiple targets and resolve group, policy and status conflicts in real-time to keep your inventory completely updated.

Multi-Cloud SSH Key Management and Automation

With the increased adoption of hybrid and multi-cloud environments, most of us don’t know exactly how many SSH keys guard our critical network infrastructure, even with the help of the cloud’s vendor console, posing a serious threat to security posture. The latest release provides secured access to multi-cloud infrastructure by managing and automating SSH key lifecycles across Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. Users can maintain higher rates of compliance to internal and external security standards through granular role-based access control and comprehensive auditing.

Enhanced Security Policy Management and Automation

Today’s hybrid IT makes it difficult for security practitioners to protect applications at every end-point, without compromising performance. Too often, lack of visibility and control over heterogeneous security platforms is to blame. This is where our single-pane of glass security policy management and automation solutions plays a crucial role. With the latest release of AppViewX, we have extended support for managing and automating your NAT/Security rules over new multi-vendor devices. This helps users achieve true application-centric visibility while maintaining control over their entire security infrastructure. And, new valuable insights can be gained through various reports that help you gauge the performance of your security policies and compare multiple WAF policies for efficient optimization.

Releasing Pre-Packaged Automation Workflows for Agile Delivery

The new AVX 12.3 platform supplies pre-packaged automation workflows for speedy and efficient service delivery. With these automation workflows, network engineers can easily automate change requests through integration with existing ITSM and other third party systems. You can download these reference implementation workflows from GitHub.
