AppViewX Announces Secure Shell Management

September 16, 2016 12:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time

AppViewX, a global leader in management, automation, and orchestration, today announced the release of its v11.3 of the AppViewX Platform, which helps enterprises further accelerate application delivery.

With this release, AppViewX introduces secure shell (SSH) key management, enabling enterprises to effectively mitigate risk and ensure compliance. This automated management solution not only manages keys, but also provides a holistic view of all devices and associated keys in an environment. The keys can be pushed, rolled back or rotated with a single click. With Role-Based Access Control, the user rights and accountability of each key can be managed with ease.

“SSH is an Achilles heel for a lot of organizations, resulting in substantial risk within enterprises, including compromised keys, compliance violations, and unanticipated system outages,” said Muralidharan Palanisamy, Chief Product Officer at AppViewX. “In our latest product, AppViewX has introduced SSH key management that simplifies existing operations, and is very easy to deploy. We now provide enhanced security without the additional, cumbersome processes.”

The AppViewX Platform extends support to Brocade vADCs, while providing continued support to existing partners like A10 Networks, Akamai, Avi Networks, Citrix, F5 Networks, and Radware devices.

AppViewX is constantly updating its portfolio of vendors to enable end users design, deploy and optimize security policies with ease. As part of the security enhancements, users can add, modify and manage security policies for F5’s BIG-IP Advanced Firewall Manager (AFM | v11.5.3-12.0) and BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM | v11.5.3 – 12.0). They can view the complete list of policies on devices and search for specific rules that match the object filter criteria.

AppViewX now helps users add and manage all Squid proxy devices in an enterprise, giving users a view of the entire list of policies on the device. Squid is a caching proxy for the web supporting HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and more.
