Payoda spins out AppViewX and brings in veteran CEO to the team

AppViewX, the most advanced infrastructure automation and orchestration platform, today announced that Manuel Rivelo has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. He previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at F5 Networks and was a Senior Vice President at Cisco Systems.

Rivelo succeeds Anand Purusothaman who will be Chairman of the AppViewX Board and will assist with strategy and operations. AppViewX has been spun out as a separate legal and business entity from parent company Payoda Inc. to focus more on orchestration and automation for the enterprise defined data center.

Manuel Rivelo is the CEO of AppViewX, responsible for the company’s overall strategy and operations. He was previously employed by F5 Networks where he served as President, CEO and Director until December 2015. In addition, he served as Executive Vice President of Strategic Solutions where he was responsible for launching and driving new market adjacencies, strategy, product management, marketing, and business and corporate development. Prior to joining F5, Rivelo was a part of Cisco Systems, Inc., where he served as Senior Vice President of Cisco’s Engineering Systems and Operations group.
